24 Sep 1932 — In Yerwada jail, Gandhi’s fast against separate Dalit electorates forces a settlement with Dr B. R. Ambedkar: reserved seats within joint electorates. Ambedkar signs under duress he never forgave — the Dalit question is inside the national movement now, unresolved.
