IB History, on the map
Maps of History is twenty-one interactive history atlases. Each one tells a period chapter by chapter on a map that changes with the date: you read the argument and watch the borders, fronts and movements it describes. Eight atlases were written for the new IB History course (first exams in May 2028) and carry IB notes in every chapter.
PAPER 1 · FOCUSED STUDIES
Each of the five Focused Studies has its own atlas, with both case studies on linked maps. Their IB notes are built for a source paper: every chapter carries primary sources (texts and images, each with its origin and the context you need) and a practice question with an essay plan.

PAPER 2 · THEMATIC STUDIES
Paper 2 essays draw on examples from more than one region; the atlases below span Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. A chip shows how many chapters carry IB notes for that theme; atlases without a chip cover the theme in their chapters but have no IB notes yet.

THE IB NOTES SWITCH
In the eight atlases with IB notes, the header has an IB notes switch. Turn it on and each chapter adds what it helps with on the syllabus, its key concepts, evidence to quote, primary sources and a practice question with a model essay plan (thesis, three points, counter-argument, judgement). Turn it off and the atlas reads as plain history. The setting is remembered on your device, and the printed study sheet includes the IB notes when the switch is on.
WHAT IS FREE
