Viking Dublin (841)

On the Norse and Aztecs map as “Dublin”

841 — Norse raiders built a fortified ship base, a longphort, beside the black pool, Dubh Linn, on the River Liffey. It grew into a Norse trading town and kingdom, a hub of the slave trade and of Irish Sea commerce, until the Anglo-Normans took it in 1170–71.
