Siege of Tenochtitlan (1521)
On the Norse and Aztecs map as “The siege of Tenochtitlan”
May–August 1521 — From late May the besiegers cut the aqueduct from Chapultepec and blockaded the lake with brigantines and canoes. Tens of thousands of people, perhaps far more, died of hunger, thirst, smallpox and fighting before the city fell on 13 August.
