Maasai removal from Laikipia (1911–13)
On the Haiti and Kenya independence map as “Laikipia”
1911–13 — The Maasai are moved off the Laikipia plateau, which an agreement of 1904 had promised them for as long as the Maasai existed as a people, to make room for settler ranches. Their court case fails in 1913.
