30 Dec 1906 — At the Muhammadan Educational Conference in the new province’s capital, notables led by the Aga Khan and Nawab Salimullah found the All-India Muslim League — a loyalist lobby of landowners that a lawyer named Jinnah will one day remake into a state-maker.
