Guangxi Massacre (1967–68)
On the Mao’s China map as “Guangxi”
1967–68 — As the army-backed faction crushed its rival in Guangxi, militias and officials killed tens of thousands of people; estimates run from about 80,000 to 150,000. A later Party inquiry documented ritual cannibalism of victims in Wuxuan and other counties. Most of the killing came in 1968.
