Suppression of counter-revolutionaries (1951)
On the Mao’s China map as “The 1951 mass trials”
Spring 1951 — After the Party’s “Double Tenth” directive of October 1950, cities held public trials in stadiums and squares, some carried live on radio, that ended in executions. A 1954 public-security report counted 712,000 people executed in the campaign; Yang Kuisong argues the real total was higher. This marker stands for every city where it happened.
