Stalin’s Siberian grain tour (1928)
On the Stalin’s Soviet Union map as “Stalin in Siberia”
Jan–Feb 1928 — Touring Novosibirsk and the Siberian grain districts, Stalin ordered officials to seize grain from peasants who held it back, using the criminal code’s article against “speculation”. This “Ural-Siberian method” ended the bargain of the New Economic Policy and his alliance with Bukharin.
