Breslau becomes Wrocław (1945–48)
1945–48 — The German city of Breslau, about 630,000 people in 1939, loses almost all its Germans and is refilled by Poles from central Poland and the lost eastern provinces. Within three years one city’s population had been replaced by another’s, along with its street names, schools and churches.
