Operation Vistula (1947)

28 Apr–Jul 1947 — The Polish army deports about 140,000 Ukrainians and Lemkos from the south-east and scatters them in small groups across the former German north and west, so that no community could re-form. The stated reason was the war against the Ukrainian Insurgent Army; the result was a south-east without Ukrainians.
